Natural Language Processing, Corpus Linguistics, Corpus Based Grammar Research
The article informs about an 5th international linguistic conference SLOVKO 2009 thematically focused on natural language processing, corpus linguistics and corpus based grammar research. The conference was held in Smolenice, on 25th -27th November 2009 and it was organised by the Department of Slovak National Corpus of the L'udovít Stúr Institute of Linguistics. More than 40 participants from 13 countries took part in the conference and their papers were published in proceedings: [NLP, Corpus Linguistics, Corpus Based Grammar Research]. Eds. J. Levická - R. They deal with various spheres of corpus based research: e. g. analyses of spoken and parallel corpuses, lexicography, terminology, processing of corpus programmes databases as well as semantic, grammatical and statistical research based on corpus bases.
