A 26-year-old man developed neutropenia while receiving quetiapine, valproate semisodium [divalproex] and mirtazapine [some routes and frequencies not stated].
The man, who had a history of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and generalised anxiety disorder, was started on quetiapine IR 100mg as needed for distressing delusions; he took the medication approximately every 8 hours.
