Abstract

The author analyzes the situation of permanent divisions in the first part of the XX century, as well as the causes that made want the fall of XIII Alfonso's Monarchy and the arrival of the Second Republic. In the area of the positive thing of this régime it locates the peaceful form of the arrival of the day April 14 1931, the cultural work of the Republic and, in a very special way, the importance of Manuel Azaña's figure. When summarizing the factors that originate the republican crisis, the author it mentions the non existence of an integrative Constitution, the excessive number of political parties that originates the permanent political uncertainty, the socialization absence in the republican values and, finally, the consent lack on the class of Republic that some and others wanted.
