1. Blast Friday with the Robin Zander Band: The headliner for this month's free street party in downtown Clearwater is the band arranged by Robin Zander, lead singer of Cheap Trick. Zander has lived in the Tampa Bay area for more than 20 years, and he has enlisted ax man Mark Hitt, who played guitar with the Tubes, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, and Jack Bruce of Cream; Larry Hobbs of the Juice on bass, and longtime friend and drummer Steve Luongo, who has performed or recorded with John Entwistle, the Who, members of AC/DC, Todd Rundgren and Leslie West/Mountain to name a few. Blast Friday is a family-friendly street celebration that features vendors, food, family activities and contests. It starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday on the 400 block of Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater. Free.
