News from the Foundation for Physical Therapy

Abstract

Students organize grassroots fundraisers on their campuses and in their local communities that raise awareness of and benefit the Foundation for Physical Therapy. Since its inception, the Challenge has raised over $2.3 million and has specifically funded over 20 research grants and scholarships. Alumni Shout Outs Foundation alumni Anthony Delitto, PT, PhD, FAPTA (1996 Clinical Research Center) and Fay Horak, PT, PhD (1989 Doctoral Training Research Grant) were recently appointed to each serve a 3-year term on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Advisory Board on Medical Rehabilitation Research.
