Abstract

This article is about the importance of mystic experiences in establishing the sanctity of a person. It is focused on King Ladislaus I of Hungary, sanctified in 1192. Hungarian medieval texts referring to Saint Ladislaus relate about the virtues he had, the miracles he was able to accomplish within his life and after death, but they also tell about the mystic events he experienced in the divinity direct presence.
