A 41-year-old man developed priapism following treatment with trazodone and mirtazapine [routes not stated].
The man, "Mr. A", presented to an emergency department with a 15-hour history of a painful and persistent penile erection. His history included primary insomnia, hypertension and allergic rhinitis. He had taken his first dose of trazodone 100mg the night before, to help with sleep. Two hours prior to starting trazodone at a dosage of 100mg at bedtime, he had taken mirtazapine 15mg [frequency...
