Abstract

[...]Kim explains, what Hick means is that one "should be wary" of the beliefs instilled by the surrounding religious culture and that one should "think critically through them"; furthermore, Kim adds, "it is unclear" why the case of religious pluralism is different from the case of one who is born and raised as a Christian, for example, and that what Hick probably means is that a religious pluralist is "not raised as one" but becomes one "via some convincing arguments later on his life", which is pretty much the same in the case of religious conversion.
