The three editors of the Encyclopedia of Crisis Management, K. Bradley Penuel, Matt Statler and Ryan Hagen, are all experienced in crisis management and have all been affiliated with the New York University Center for Catastrophe Preparedness and Response (CCPR) at some point with Penuel serving as the current director. Information about the editors is included in the encyclopedia in the Front Matter section. This resource is part of the Sage Knowledge social science e-book platform, as reviewed here, as well as being offered in a two-volume hardcover edition.
The content of the online version is divided into four major sections: Entries A to Z, Subject Index, Reader's Guide, and Front/Back Matter. There is also a link to About this Encyclopedia, which is a pop-up window providing a brief overview of the topic itself and what is included in the encyclopedia. The majority of the text is devoted to the 385 A to Z entries, each of which includes the name of the author(s) as well as author affiliation. However, nowhere in the encyclopedia is any further information about the authors listed in order to understand their levels...
