The historic cultural center of the Circulo Lectores in Madrid has now become the "Espacio Bertelsmann", a meeting point and space of communications for all Bertelsmann companies operating in Spain. About 250 high-profile guests from the media, politics, business and Bertelsmann s Spanish companies attended the opening ceremony for the new building. The guest of honor from politics, Spain s Vice President Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, gave a speech, as did Fernando Carro, and Jose Manuel Lara, owner of the Planeta media group.
