TR Adds 'Chat to Email' to Messenger

Abstract

Thomson Reuters has added a new feature, dubbed Chat to Email, to its Eikon Messenger messaging tool, to enable users to send instant that messages to the email addresses of non-Eikon Messenger users. The functionality went live as part of an automatic update on the vendor's Eikon desktop terminal in the past few weeks, after a period of internal testing. This will improve workflow efficiency, Yvette Jackson, global head of collaboration at Thomson Reuters, says, as Eikon Messenger users will no longer have to move from the messaging tool to other email applications to communicate with all their contacts.
