Swifts reeling as McKerr is ruled out for season

DUNGANNON Swifts have been dealt a huge blow after receiving the news that full-back Michael McKerr is out for the remainder of the season.

And in a double-whammy, the Swifts also fear that striker Jamie Douglas may have played his last game of 2013.

McKerr has been missing since he picked up an ankle injury during a 5-0 defeat to Portadown on October 26.

Initially it was thought he may have been out for several weeks, but the problem proved more complicated.

The 23-year-old has now been told that he won't play again this term.
