Thanks so much, peter. A story that we first brought you is making news in Ottawa tonight. The head of Canada's surveillance agency was asked pointed questions like: Why were travellers secretly tracked as they left Canadian airports? -
The head of Canada's electronic spy agency says CSEC did not track Canadians through airport Wi-Fi. Last week, CBC News reported the content of a secret document. It detailed how CSEC tracked individuals' movements at Canadian airports and beyond to hotels and cafés. John Forster told a Senate committee that CSEC only tracked Canadians' metadata and that it was all legal. Senior correspondent Terry Milewski explains his explanation. Terry?
