Born in Dana Point, CA, Devillier moved to New Orleans in 2003 and began cooking in several top kitchens, including Peristyle, where he worked under Chef Anne Kearny. He joined the La Petite Grocery team in 2004 and became a sous chef. A few years later he was promoted to executive chef and was named a "Chef to Watch" by Louisiana Cooking magazine and the Times-Picayune . He and his wife bought La Petite Grocery in 2010. Devillier has been named a James Beard Award finalist in the Best Chef-South category the last two years. He appeared on the most recent season of Bravo's Top Chef.
