Nerd culture programs big laughs in the Valley
Everybody likes a brainy comedy, which is why the new HBO series Silicon Valley deserves to be a great big hit. The series, which premieres Sunday, April 6, on HBO Canada (check listings for time), is a brilliant skewering of the people and corporate culture in the modern-day high-tech gold rush known as Silicon Valley. The brain behind the cerebral comedy is Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill), who actually toiled as a Silicon Valley engineer before making it big as a TV producer.
