IMPHAL, April 3 -- The five incumbent MLAs of the Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) were inducted into the Indian National Congress (INC) on Thursday.
The five MLAs: RK Imo of Sagolband, P Brogendro of Wangjing-Tentha, Nemcha Kipgen of Kangpokpi, Karam Thamarjit of Keirao and Janghemglung Panmei of Tamenglong, along with the MSCP president Y Mangi, working president Devbarta and other MSCP active workers joined India's Grand Old Party.
Around 10 am on Thursday, MSCP members reached the Congress Bhawan to proceed with the merger of their party with the Congress.
In the meantime, some Sagolband block Congress committee women workers enter the Bhawan and scatter leaflets condemning the induction of Sagolband MLA RK Imo where the Congress candidate...
