To further boost the Indigenous Peoples Education (IPed) in the country, the Department of Education (DepEd) will accredit non-profit private learning institutions serving Indigenous Peoples (IP) learners.
DepEd recognizes the important contribution of Indigenous Peoples Education programs being implemented by non-government and community-led institutions in improving access to culture-based basic education services, Secretary of Education Armin Luistro said.
He added that the Department shall facilitate the recognition process and shall provide technical assistance to private learning institutions seeking recognition.
