Abstract

Presentations have many challenges. One of the challenges is weakness of the presenter-listener interaction. A typical presentation lasts 45 to 90 minutes. This is much longer than the attention span of a typical listener. In order to gain listener's attention, presenters can ask questions to audience. However, this is not an effective solution if the presentation time is limited. Also, the audience might hesitate to answer questions due to fear of providing an incorrect response or just expecting someone to respond to the presenter's question. A good presenter-listener interaction loses its possibility through verbal channels in crowded classrooms and large conferences. However, technology can be the solution to allow the audience to interact with the presenter, ask questions any time they wish, or provide feedback anytime during the presentation. The Interactive Presentation System is designed to solve this problem. This paper presents the development and implementation of Interactive Presentation System.
