The third edition of the Berkshire Encyclopedia of World Sport is a massive undertaking with the print version published in three volumes and totaling 1,460 pages. According to the back cover there are 80 new entries and coverage of 2014 and 2016 Olympic sports. The e-book version is currently available through MyiLibrary and Berkshire expects it to be available through other e-book providers in the future. The version under review is an Adobe.pdf file. As such, it has certain features from the e-book version, such as color photographs, but does not have a navigational table of contents or index, features that would be active in the e-book version on an e-book vendor platform. For the purposes of this review one would need to find an entry in the table of contents or index and scroll to that entry. The table of contents feature also serves as a navigational tool.
The Berkshire Encyclopedia of World Sport is arranged in a traditional encyclopedia format, with an alphabetical list of articles covering virtually every sport in the world from Basketball to Naginata.
