The Romophone collection reviewed here is the first successful attempt to reissue all of the Victor and Zonophone recordings of legendary coloratura soprano Luisa Tetrazzini. In 1989 Pearl issued Luisa Tetrazzini--The Complete Known Recordings 1903-1922, a five-CD set which was missing one published Victor item. Tetrazzini recorded the ''Bell Song'' from Delibes' Lakmé for Victor in 1911, matrix no. C10075-1, issued as catalog number 88297. Two years later, the soprano remade the ''Bell Song'' for Victor, matrix no. C10075-2 (all matrix, take and catalog numbers, and recording dates, are included by Romophone).
