A discussion on the validity of Nennius and the Historia Brittonum

Abstract

This thesis looks at the Historia Brittonum as well as other sources from 5^th century A.D. Britain, comparing the information that is found within each. There is a historiographical look at the other sources, with an in depth look at the Historia Brittonum in particular. One has concluded that while there are many questions and speculations about the source it is of value to the historical community.
