Guo Ping, Ken Hu and Eric Xu
What makes them powerful: In 2012, Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei stood down from day-to-day operations of the company and in his spot Huawei appointed not one but three men. Guo Ping, Ken Hu and Eric Xu each take six-month turns acting as Huawei's CEO, where they run the company's operations, handle crises and chair meetings with the company's board and executive management team. From Oct. 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015, Ken Hu will serve as Huawei's CEO.
To be clear though, Huawei's rotating CEOs are nothing if not company men. Guo joined the company in 1988 and has served as an R&D project manager, chief legal officer and president of Huawei Device, among other things. Xu joined the company in 1993 and has served as the president of the company's wireless product line, chief of products and solutions and in other positions. Hu, for his part, joined the company in 1990 and, among other things, has served as Huawei's president of marketing and sales...
