A 74-year-old woman developed bruising, haematuria and vaginal bleeding during concomitant treatment with clopidogrel as an antiplatelet therapy and Ginkgo biloba for menopausal symptoms.
The woman, who had osteopenia and who had undergone hysterectomy and bilateral ovariectomy in the past for fibroids, had since been receiving long-term low-dose transdermal estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) for menopausal symptoms.
