HughShows marathon
To mark his decade as a music blogger and photographer, Hugh Twyman launched the free family-friendly monthly acoustic music series HughShows Live @ Eide's.
Along the way, the school teacher presented more than 60 bands and raised funds for the Homeless Children's Education Fund.
"The shows have gone so much better than I ever anticipated," he says. "To gather up the incredibly diverse talent we have in Pittsburgh on one 'stage' just reaffirmed my commitment to presenting this music to the public in any way I can. I feel extremely lucky to be a music fan in Pittsburgh right now."
The final installment of 2014 is a special show from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at Eide's, with a large cast of artists, some of whom, like Fist Fight in the Parking Lot, rarely play acoustic.
