The unemployability of the graduates in Nigeria is largely due to the type and quality of educational opportunities available to them. The quality of any product is measured in terms of the extent to which it satisfies pre-determined objectives. Vocational and Technical Education promotes self actualization and the dignity of man by enhancing creativity, spirit of independence and facilitates employability and productivity in any economy. A survey design was adopted with two research questions which guided the study involving 160 teachers and 40 instructors from five vocational and technical institutions. A fifteen structured questionnaire were used to elicit information from the selected sample size. The data collected was analyzed with the mean statistic. An average mean of 2.5 was used as the criterion for decision making. The result from the likert scaled instrument revealed that there are inadequacies in the availability and utilization of resources needed to make vocational and technical education to be qualitative and functional. It recommended that the government and other stakeholders in education industry should adequately fund vocational and technical education, religiously guard the minimum standard and engage in effective inspection etc, in order to ensure greater employability and employment opportunities for the youths in Nigeria.
