Ho Ai Li Hockey team wake up too late HIGHS AND LOWS 1956 The men's hockey team goes to the Melbourne Olympics and finishes ahead of Malaya. 1964 Four Singapore players are picked to represent Malaysia at the Tokyo Olympics: Douglas Nonis, Anwarul Haque, S. Kanagalingam and Kartar Singh. 1973 Singapore men win gold at the 1973 South-east Asia Peninsular Games at home.
