He's won three Emmy Awards; had songs placed in dozens of films and television programs; started a label with releases by guitar legends like Jimmy Page and B.B. King; launched his own music library; written books; opened a large-format studio...
Many would consider their career a success achieving even just one of these feats. But for Brian Tarquin, each one is just a single page torn from his professional story so far.
"Let's see... I just finished Guitars For Wounded Warriors," begins Tarquin about what's been keeping him busy more recently. And his latest rock guitar-centric collection, which he produced, engineered, composed, and performed on alongside axe slingers like Steve Morse and Gary Hoey, is just one of several irons he has in the fire.
"I actually just finished a jazz record that's out now," Tarquin continues, listing things off as they come to him. "I'm also working on a book about guitar amps - kind of an amp encyclopedia. And I'm updating the library as well."
The library he's referring to is TVFilmTrax.com, a vast digital library of tracks that editors, music supervisors, producers, or directors can easily access for their productions. Selections from the site have been used in programs from Jeopardy! to The Simpsons to Jimmy Kimmel Live, and in several feature films...
