Abstract
WHAT is a highbrow? I am not quite certain. But then I am not quite certain what a clubman is, or a Society woman. As far as I can see, any man who belongs to a London club can become a clubman, but only it he is divorced, or found shot, or wins a big sweepstake, or is arrested for being drunk while in charge of a car.
