Reading blogs is a subject close to my heart, I write my own but aside from a mention here I won't review it, that wouldn't be fair, It's Armadillo Mag Blog and can be found at http://armadillochildrensmagazine.blogspot.co.uk/ On this same note I could have included the editor's blog but didn't want to prejudice the article, do however visit http://www.mrripleysenchantedbooks.com/ So it has been an interesting exercise to look at other people's blogs, to see what books they have been reading, what they think about them and how they choose to present them in their blogs.
Where did I start? Actually not with a search engine, though when I did type in Book Blogs I returned 'about 524,000,000 results'! Interestingly the top result was actually a summary of the best book blogs of 2013 so it would seem that no-one has had a good look at book blogs for a little while, at least not a look they are telling the search engines about. Of course I could have done some searching under other terms but instead I went to Pinterest (www.pinterest.com). It may seem to be a random choice of place to go looking for blogs but here there are the pins (links to blogs), that other people interested in children's books and reading, have gathered together and they tend to be of a very high quality too. I was not to be disappointed and I hope that you won't be either after you have read about my small but significant collection.
I started with Raring Readers (http://raringreaders.blogspot.co.uk), a blog run by the Patron of Reading of Captain's Close Primary School in Asfordby, Leicestershire. This is the blog of Jonathan Emmett, author and obviously blogger who not only writes about books but also recommends other blogs to visit and actively encourages contributions from anyone willing to make one! What did I enjoy about this blog? The sheer variety of content, Jonathan has obviously spent time getting this right and his rapid review videos by children at the school as well as anyone else willing to...
