CME Group has introduced new contracts that allow investors to trade European electricity with a lower fee structure.
CME has created a series of eight cash-settled European power futures contracts covering the German, French, Italian and Spanish electricity markets.
It has made the contracts, for both base load and peak load, available on CME ClearPort and CME Globex, as well as via the Trayport platform.
