According to the abstract* posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "A concentrator photovoltaic system comprises: a concentrator photovoltaic panel; a drive device for allowing the concentrator photovoltaic panel to perform the operation of tracking the sun; and a control device for detecting a variation pattern repeatedly occurring in the aging variation of the power generated in the concentrator photovoltaic panel, comparing the detected variation pattern with a form specific for an azimuth error and a form specific for an elevation error, thereby detecting the presence or absence of a tracking error."
