Measurement of nutrient intakes The participants responded to a structured interviewer-administered questionnaire that included questions on a wide range of possible risk factors for cataract, including demographic characteristics, lifestyles, medical histories, and family history of cataract. Vegetables, included cabbage, rape, Chinese cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, celery, lettuce, garden chrysanthemum, sour pickled cabbage, carrots, white radish, eggplant, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, onions, garlic, green onions, leeks, garlic moss, garlic sprout, taro, yam, ginger, beans, yellow bean sprouts, and mung bean sprout.
