GREATER the flamingo can't catch a break, even in the afterlife. The adored Adelaide Zoo flamingo was savagely beaten by a mob of teenagers in 2008, then chronic arthritis took hold and he finally had to be put down in early 2014 at the ripe old age of 83.
Now as the second anniversary of his death nears, Greater (pictured) should have long been stuffed and displayed at the SA Museum for the masses to adore again. But he remains in a freezer because...
