Abstract

Over a period of 1-year, 40 E. faecalis isolated from clinical samples (blood, urine, wound swabs, urinary catheter tip, intravenous catheter tip, high vaginal swabs, endocervical swabs and peritoneal fluid) obtained from patients admitted to the hospital were tested for antibiotic sensitivity pattern as per Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines [1] using Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and E. faecalis 29212 strains as standards.
