At the D.C. Library in Northeast, there's a sign posted that asks four intriguing questions.
Are you a grown-up?
Do you take "adult-ing" way too seriously?
Do you miss your old pack of crayons?
Are you ready to just unwind?
Then, the kicker: Library officials invite grownups to join the Northeast Neighborhood Library Adult Coloring because it's time to kick back, relax and be a kid again.
Believe it or not, coloring for adults is all the rage and mental health experts and others said it's a major tool in relieving stress.
Laura Laspee usually has her hands full.
"I love to color," said Laura Laspee, who implemented an adult coloring program in Pennsylvania. "My grandchildren always want to use the color that I'm coloring with and they like to tell me where I can put colors on the page."
It's an interesting concept to be sure, but adults using coloring books to kick back, relax and otherwise rid themselves of any stress have become the norm.
