A 41-year-old man developed pancytopenia while receiving mycophenolate mofetil [mycophenolic acid]. He had undergone renal transplantation. One year later, he presented with a 1-week history of fatigue. He had been receiving immunosuppression therapy with mycophenolate mofetil [route and dosage not stated], tacrolimus and prednisone. Investigations revealed pancytopenia; consequently, his mycophenolate mofetil therapy was switched to filgrastim [time to reaction onset and outcome not clearly stated].
