Peshawar Morr Interchange project in Islamabad is the largest interchange of country and Asia built with high tech construction methods and not old ways. Conceived by federal authorities in 2014, it is almost complete except for finishing and final touches. However, after long delays and consistent breaches of its schedules to facilitate massive traffic from all directions of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and avoiding further increase in congestion by inflow from M-2 connecting Peshawar and Lahore - upcountry and down country traffic to Kashmir Highway made it an important gate way for communication needs. Islamabad is becoming a new mega city - without any environmental changes, say authorities. It was to be completed in April 2015. But work was suspended due to uncalled for and lengthy disputes between construction firm executing the project NLC - and designing giant NESPAK.
