NOIDA: A journalism student studying in a city institute has accused four of her classmates of abusing her using sexually coloured remarks on Whatsapp.The student, a resident of Delhi, has complained that the accused who have been stalking her for months, tried to sully her image among her classmates and indulged in voyeurism by capturing her pictures unknowingly and made obscene gestures to her.Despite repeatedly complaining about the behaviour of the accused, the institute authorities remained ignorant towards their actions, the girl, student of Masters in TV Production and Broadcast Journalism (MTV), has alleged.In the FIR lodged in Sector 58 police station, the student said that the accused, Amit, Nilesh Pal, Vivek Shukla and Vineet Sharma, called her to their room and on her refusal, they tried to humiliate her in front of everyone."We have a Whatsapp group where all my classmates of MTV are added. The accused humiliated me by calling bids to my name. After this, I along with seven-eight classmates spoke to PK Gupta, director of our institute who scolded the accused once," the victim told TOI."When the accused did not mend their ways, I spoke to the authorities again. Then I was told that the chapter has been closed from their side and I am free to approach the police and complain about the boys," she added.The student has also alleged that the accused have threatened to beat her and she is afraid for her life since she travels alone from Delhi to Noida. A case of stalking, voyeurism and criminal intimidation has been registered against the four accused and the investigation is on, a police officer confirmed to TOI.When contacted, an official from the administration of Massco Media institute, Sector 58, said that the director PK Gupta is currently out of India and will return after May 20. She was not authorized to speak on the issue.
