THE EAST COAST SUPERSONIC PUPPET FESTIVAL
The PofA's Tri-Regional (the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions), ???East Coast SuperSonic Puppet Festival,??? was held from July 20-23, 2006, in scenic Asheville, North Carolina.
Thanks go to Susan VandeWeghe, the Southeast Regional Director, who was the Festival Director, as well as Regional Directors Judy O'Hare (Northeast) and Liz Joyce (Mid-Atlantic), and Kathy Bolch, who prepared the Festival Program. Thanks to all of them for making the festival fun and such a success. Great thanks also go to Bill Scott for handling Festival Registration, as well as for providing e-mails of attendees, except for those that chose not to be included.
Festival registrants were housed at the Crowne Plaza Resort. Registration, workshops, Puppet Slam, Potpourri and the Masquerade Ball were held there. All performances were held at Pack Place in downtown Asheville. Shuttle Busses were provided to bring attendees downtown. As there was no food plan, attendees had a variety of restaurants to choose from.
