Costa Mesa, California-based Pacific Mercantile Bank on 9 September launched a solar and renewable energy lending group to offer specialised financing to companies engaged in sustainable renewable energy projects across the US.
Former senior vice-president and group head of the renewable resources group at Western Alliance Bank division Bridge Bank Scott Reising will lead the new lending group.
In his former role at Bridge Bank, Reising built a national lending practice focused on development project financings in the clean tech and renewable energy market in commercial distributed generation projects, residential portfolios and utility-scale projects. Reiser was brought into Bridge Bank in August 2011 as senior vice-president and then was appointed managing director in May 2016.
Previously, he was a director with WestLB from February 2010 to August 2011, preceded by a two-year stint as a senior associate at Dexia Credit Local. He was an associate at Depfa Bank for about seven months in 2005, according to his LinkedIn profile.
From 1997 through 2005, Reiser worked as a project manager for several firms including Mortenson, Devcon, and Dresser Flow Solutions. He was a project engineer with Rudolf & Sletten from 1994 through 1998.
Headquartered in Orange County, California, Pacific Mercantile Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pacific Mercantile Bancorp. The FDIC-insured bank, which is a member of the Federal Reserve System, opened for business in March 1999.
