ASCII makes it easy for computer resellers. The ASCII Group is one of the world's largest buying consortiums for independent, full-service computer resellers, representing more than 2,000 US and Canadian members. Paying a monthly fee entitles members to buy volume products and negotiate better deals with hardware and software distributors, such as D&H Distributing and SYNNEX, and from vendors, including Iomega and Seagate Technology. ASCII also offers discounts on credit card processing and leasing rates, online pricing, financing, health and business insurance, training, and other business service program offerings. CEO Alan Weinberger founded the group in 1984 and is the majority shareholder.
