Synthesis of Sulfated Arabinogalactan Derivatives with Histidine and Arginine

Abstract

For the first time the wather-soluble derivatives of sulfated arabinogalactan with amino acids histidine and arginine were prepared by ion exchange method. The obtained products were studied by elemental analysis and FTIR spectroscopy. From the analysis of FTIR spectra it is concluded that the resulting compounds contain the negatively changed sulfated arabinogalactan as an anion and the protonated forms of histidine and arginine - as a cations. Drugs on the basic of sulfated arabinogalactans with fixed amino acids have prospects for use in medicine.
