Abstract

The Four-Year Heist centers around a young man named Bryan. Bryan has plans to spend the next four years of his life serving the underprivileged, but his hopes are dashed when he learns he has $100,000 in student debt borrowed for him by his father. Bryan, lost and confused, acts desperately and quickly. He recruits three fellow students to help him pull off a bank heist to erase his student loan debt.

Research required for this story in order to build my characters and their world included understanding the recession of 2008, computer science, architecture, security systems, student loan debt, burglary tools, and the history of bank robbery. My screenplay is meant to comment on the state of capitalism in America and its influence on American education.

The intention of this bank robbery is meant to serve as protest against a system that is often corrupt and mismanaged by the American government.
