Abstract

This is an evocative autoethnography about the author’s experiences with chronic illness and disability since 2012. The purpose of the project is to allow the author to use her voice to speak up in areas of her life where she has been voiceless, as well as to come to terms with her life as an ill person, and to speak up for others like her. The text is heavily supplemented with the author’s paintings. The analytical write-up is kept separate from the creative portion for artistic integrity.
