8 Aug. 1968	A Penang Flying Club Chipmunk two-seater trainer, crashed into the sea in Pulau Pinang. Neither wreckage nor bodies of two-man crew recovered.
2 Feb. 1969	A Penang Flying Club Chipmunk exploded mid-air off Permatang Damar Laut, Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang Two killed; one seriously injured.
10 Nov. 1973	A Penang Flying Club aircraft, a single-engined Cessna crashed, exploded into flames near Pulau Langkawi airstrip. Pilot killed.
30 Nov. 1974	A Sabah Flying Club aircraft crashed, burst into flames at Sandakan. Pilot and two passengers killed.
6 June 1976	A Sabah Air Nomad aircraft from Labuan to Kota Kinabalu, on its way to land, spun and crashed into the sea at Sambulan, two miles from Kota Kinabalu. 11 killed (among whom were the Chief Minister of Sabah and son and three other State Ministers). Aircraft overloaded.
29 July 1977	A Beechcraft 19 aircraft with two persons aboard, disappeared over Johor airspace after take-off from Seletar Air Base, Singapore. The Singaporeans on board: - Michael Lim (pilot) - Tan Eng Huat (student pilot) They were on a training flight from Seletar Airport, Singapore to Kota Tinggi, Labis and Rompin. The aircraft which belonged to the Singapore General Aviation Services disappeared while flying between Layang-Layang and Rompin. Wreckage found on March 29, 1983 (after over five years but bodies not found). Found in the Gunung Belumut area, about 40km from Keluang, Johor, by two men who went to the jungle to collect rattan.
17 Feb. 1978	A Sabah Flying Club light aircraft crashed about 21 miles south of Kota Kinabalu near Papar town. Pilot and a passenger killed.
10 Jan. 1982	A Cessna 206 aircraft with Foreign Minister Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie and two others, crashed into a hill at Kampong Som Som Hilir near Kampong Janda Baik, 37.5km from Kuala Lumpur. Tan Sri Ghazali, the sole survivor. The three on board: ------------------ Pilot: Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie Co-Pilot: Vergis Chacko (Selangor Club chief instructor) ASP Charon Daam (also a pilot who was seated at the back of the pilot's seat) Tan Sri Ghazali was on a trip to Benta, Pahang to visit his constituency.
