TELECOMWORLDWIRE-22 February 2001-Jippii Group to enhance services portfolio through partnership with Wiral (C)1994-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com The Finnish multiservice operator Jippii Group Oyj and Wiral Ltd, a developer of wireless multimedia communications technology, have teamed up to deliver new communications and positioning services for mobile phone and PC users in Europe. The new system is based on Wiral's flagship Matrix product, a wireless instant messaging server with rich media capabilities. It will be deployed by Jippii to enable users to check the positioning and availability of their friends and family and to send and receive wireless instant messages, regardless of the end- user device.
