UNDER WINDOWS 95, the availability of system resources and the use of virtual memory are vastly improved, but you can still run out. MagnaRAM, Version 2, from Quarterdeck Corp., and SoftRAM 95, Version 2.0, from Syncronys Softcorp, are the first RAM "compressors" designed for Windows 95.
This pair tries to stretch your available memory and speed up Windows, as well. Each also installs in Windows 3.1; SoftRAM handles Windows 3.0, too.
I found MagnaRAM a hit in "creating" more RAM for 4MB and 8MB Windows systems; SoftRAM, on the other hand, made me wish I hadn't bothered. (For more on SoftRAM, see Window Manager, page 34.)
