MICROSOFT CORP. HAS shipped an upgrade to its Microsoft Mail server that will enable users to consolidate all their Mail servers on the Windows NT platform.
Microsoft Mail Server 3.5 includes a Windows NT Message Transfer Agent (MTA) designed to supercede the existing OS/2 and DOS MTAs. The MTA is the messaging engine that routes E-mail between users.
The upgrade should make Microsoft Mail networks easier to manage, according to a representative from Microsoft.
