RC NETWORKS took the wraps off a new SDSL (symmetric digital subscriber line) router with the capacity to deliver SDSL service over existing telephone lines to multitenant offices, hotel rooms, and apartments. The product, the RC2000 SDSL router, was demonstrated at a Networld+Interop (N+I) event in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The company claims that the SDSL router, featuring a built-in capability to deliver SDSL over phone lines through an SDSL interface to a software-enhanced RC8000 Access Concentrator, is the first product of its kind.
