SOFTWARE PUNDITS have asserted that before developers are able to effectively put Java's capabilities to work, both the core technology and its related tools will need to stabilize.
Inprise's Borland tools division next month will begin shipping the latest version of its JBuilder development environment, which the company and some early users said represents a more satisfying, mature Java.
Borland's JBuilder 3 will support Sun's Java 2 specification and will offer a more polished user interface and developer work space, according to product manager Klaus Krull. The update also provides easier and more advanced programming for the Object Management Group's CORBA architecture, and includes a bolstered Java and HTML-based help system, Krull said.
